My first job was tutoring. I wanted to continue becoming a tutor after I first helped my peers out, and realized that it was very fulfilling and I had a great time impacting their studies. They all showed positive progress. I had a great feeling after I was able to share my knowledge and help my students grow to find their own potential. Many of my students went on to become violin instructors, doctors, and more.
I was formerly in medical and Columbia University's Dental school. I left the professions when I realized that my passion did not lie in this field but I wanted to teach and become a educator and contribute my skills and knowledge to others. I have taken all the pre-medical courses, so I know what it takes to get through them. I have taken Human Gross Anatomy, Physiology and more intense courses at Columbia University's medical school.
I authored two books for the collegebound students on College Essay writing and on how to write a Standout Resume for their college application from my experience in instructing and getting my students into top selective institutions. And have written a few workshop materials and instructions for test prep courses at the educational center that I founded - Lee Academia. (www.Leeacademia.com)
I have been well-rounded all my life, playing tennis, track&field, field and floor hockey and more. I am very involved with community services and charity events. Do not hesitate to contact me for advising or if you have questions about any extracurricular activities.
I've worked full-time in research at Columbia's Medical Center, and have a few abstracts and publications in my name. If you ever need mentoring or have questions in this field, I can help you.
HobbiesWhen I'm not working, tutoring, teaching, studying, or mentoring, I enjoy playing tennis & jogging, watching movies, reading, music, basketball, track & field, playing the violin, piano, community services, hanging out with family and friends, and of course, playing with our family puppy, MeiMei.
