I was born and raised in Germany, so I am a native speaker of the German language and ready to help anyone who wants to learn. I attended high school in Oldenburg, Germany, and I then relocated to the United States to begin college. I earned my associate's degree in Science at in Champaign, Illinois, at Parkland College. I then attended the University of Illinois, where I majored in Food Science. I recently transferred to SUNY Empire State College to complete my studies, and am now in the process of earning my bachelor's degree in Psychology. While attending college, my high GPA and professional demeanor led to me being asked to assist other students in a peer tutoring lab. There, I helped students in their German, Algebra, Comparative Literature, and Organic Chemistry courses. While helping these students, I learned that I loved to tutor German. Being fluent in both English and German, I am excellent at communicating with my students. I also have great knowledge of English and German grammar and mechanics, and enjoy teaching students about German culture. Aside from tutoring, I have experience working with children through my experience as a child-care provider. I have cared for children between the ages of three and sixteen. I am also a mother, and my experiences raising three children have given me an edge when working with younger students. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at a cat rescue center and spending quality time with my family.
